Still one of my favorite podcasts!

Updated review. Still one of my favorites. I sometimes listen live, then to the members bootleg, and then the regular episode. Sometimes, I miss them live, but still listen to the bootleg and regular episodes. If you’re looking for a podcast that only talks about how great Apple is and nothing else, this isn’t the podcast for you. If you’re looking for honest opinions about Apple hardware and software from people that have been using both for a very long time, tune in. Yes, they do sometimes talk about things going on in their life and in society. They also talk a lot about cars. :)
“Steve Jobs picked the wrong guy”

Marco’s negativity is exhausting. I skipped everything he said and just focus on listening Johns thoughts.
Boring and Repetitive
May 16
I’m a paid subscriber to this podcast, and I’m thinking about cancelling my subscription. Of late, the show has devolved into a seemingly endless flow of entitled whining about how the hosts and their clique of developers should have full access to Apple’s ecosystem free of charge. Marco lives to rant about Apple executives by name like he’s calling into an AM radio sports talk show—I’m pretty sure Alan Dye must have run over his dog; Casey throws around the word “entitled” like it’s going out of style with apparently no awareness of his own privilege; and John proceeds from the fundamental assumption that he’s right about everything, even when he’s providing misguided legal analysis (no, Judge Rogers did not originally specify that Apple could not make money from external payments). It’s not that I agree with what Apple is doing, broadly speaking. For example, their App Store anti-steering provisions are wrong and have been wrong from day one. And spitefully working around the judge’s orders in the Epic case was a really bad look. I just don’t need 2+ hours of whining about it every single week, especially when I’m paying for it.
Disappointed

I wanted some exploration and explanation on the recent Epic ruling but sadly it’s mostly just negativity and complaining about Apple. John Siracusa at least tries to present Apple’s perspective.
