Adam Carolla Show

Just getting back into the podcast after talking a break for a few years. The fires brought me back. Adams situation was very compelling. I stopped down loading the shows because it was getting stale with Bald Brian and Lisa. Mayhem is really great for the show he’s pretty smart actually. With the destruction of the fires there are new beginnings. PS: Adam don’t move away from LA. You are LA’s finest son.

Everybody abandoned the pirate ship(poor Dawson) used to be a fine tune automobile, the show would go off without a hitch… used to be an epic show(similar to radio/Tv) very entertaining now it’s a podcast… and everybody has a podcast, even a kid in his basement has one , it’s like you’re trying get the kinks out and telling everybody how to do their job but what do you expect. you need to throw money at it. free help isn’t cut it

May 14, 2025 Mayhem has destroyed yet another show. I don't get it. Erica Rhodes is hilarious and charming. Mayhem stomped all over her. Very (very) annoying. If Mayhem can't be trained to stop the jarring explosions of unpleasant laughter, the spasmodic roaring, guffawing, and unfunny, non-comprehending interruptions, he should be released to find another line of work. 5 stars for Adam and Erica, Zero for Mayhem. April 22, 2025 So pleased not to be subjected to Mayhem's excessive, disruptive laughter and guffaws throughout the show. He was really ruining the rhythm. As said in my earlier review, Mayhem could be a fun addition to the show if he were taught to curb his enthusiastic laughter and to speak more sparingly. March 2025 Mayhem can be interesting and funny, but his incessant loud laughter throughout the podcast is not enjoyable. He doesn't need to be fired, as some reviewers are saying. He just needs coaching and direction, and perhaps better understanding of his role vis-a-vis Adam and the guests. If he laughed once or twice per episode, at a respectable distance from the mic, the podcast would be great. As it is, he roars with laughter after every single joke. It's a rough guttural disruptive sound, not pleasing to the ear. As such, it ruins all the fun. The timing, rhythm and flow of the humor are all impacted by the behavior of one person. Sadly, at times the once entertaining show has become insufferable. Also, when you listen to the show with earphones, the cacophonous outbursts right into the skull is kind of gross. (Q. Is he deep-throating the mic? ) It's surprising that Adam with his exacting standards and aesthetic appreciation of phonetic quality seems not to perceive how Mayhem's bad bellowing wrecks the show.

Nope, Nope, Nope! I listen to podcasts for either comedy or knowledge and this has neither. The laughter is awful and there’s no knowledge on this podcast, just the usual right wing talking points. If you’re a die hard Trump follower, this podcast is for you. If you’re not, there’s thousands of better ones out there.
