Don’t know how many times I didn’t hear the last half of a sentence because Mallory was laughing too hard to speak clearly.

No one needs to have a background in the arts to talk about acting , motive, subtext , pov. Anyone can be a critic . Listening to the bear season finale episode I feel Van was doing too much talking and trying to find the thing . You can’t find something “ fun and compelling “ to watch without actually feeling something which he said he didn’t. I feel Van doesn’t really understand the bear artistically and what Christopher is trying to do. He is talking to much and pulling from places and going on tangents that don’t make sense to the subject . I wanted to hear more from his podcast partner Charles. I felt Charles was just asking Van about how he feels about all of it . Needs to be more balance . It’s not a Van interview. Charles really understands the bear and had beautiful empathetic insights and made incredible points about acting , motives, subtext, backstory . More of this please . Again anyone can be a critic but if you understand the art form you are able to speak on it more effectively.

Jo & Rob are a dynamic duo. The long form episode-by-episode series reviews are detailed and fantastic. I can’t imagine the amount of prep that goes into making each pod feel conversational and natural while also having a great deal of critical thought. I look forward to every single episode!! Severance & White Lotus were worth multiple listens! Among others!
