The Rest Is Politics

This is a decent show from two prominent members of the self appointed elite expert class, but interesting nonetheless. Rory’s vocal fry is incredibly grating on the ears and makes him sound like he is trying to actively impart gravitas to what he is saying. If you’re willing to put up with this trait that is annoying in the extreme, you can learn quite a bit and hear interesting takes on current events.

I always enjoy listening to these excellent communicators and their tremendous experience and I am always astonished how even so they have struggled to understand or predict the dark direction of world events lately.

Alistair, your level is lower than rory's and bassy. Difficult to hear you sometimes. Please correct!

Totally agree about Rory’s vocal fry. I was a huge fan of the show, but not sure I can keep listening to that seriously annoying voice. Oh, and the episode about the new pope? It was Pope John XXIII, not XIII, and Pope Paul VI.
